Day two of the Ultimate Table Tennis will witness debutants Chennai Lions and U Mumba TT go head to head at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in New Delhi.

Chennai Lions are led by 9-time Indian National Champion, Achanta Sharath Kamal. Sharath was present in the audience yesterday and would have gotten an insight into the strategy required to plan today's tie.

The Lions have in their ranks Season 1 semi-finalist Petrissa Solja, who is joined by Tiago Apolonia and Madhurika Patkar, who are well-versed in this tournament. They would look to make the most of their experience and rack up the points against a young Mumbai side.

Mumbai have in their ranks the current world no. 12 Doo Hoi Kem, who is the most experienced paddler in the side. There is a possibility of a big-name showdown between Petrissa and Doo Hoi Kem in the women’s singles that will be quite the spectacle.

Manav Thakkar leads the young U Mumba side, and at the press conference a couple of days ago, already made his intentions clear of making his mark by beating more senior paddlers in the competition.

U Mumba also have the feisty Sutirtha Mukherjee, who has been in the finals in both the previous editions, winning Season 1, and will make a world of difference for the team Mumbai.

Kirill Gerassimenko is one of the four foreign players playing in the UTT for the first time. He had shown quite an eagerness for the tournament before being a part of it and will look to have a memorable outing.

The junior paddlers in both teams are ready and capable to come on and make a difference for their sides when called upon, and we’re sure to see them featured at some point during the course of the season.
